Brandon Heart is an independent community magazine for Brandon, Florida, and the area around it. We write about the things that make an address feel like a town: the events that fill the month, the families figuring out the summer, the groups that meet in library rooms and parish halls, the traditions that repeat every year, and the parks and short drives that fill a free afternoon.

How we work
We plan our coverage against the same calendars readers use: public listings, park and library programming, school seasons and the recurring events that organize local life. We treat dates as provisional, because a recurring event is a pattern rather than a promise. We prefer recommendations that are free or cheap, shaded or wet, and close enough to retreat home when the weather turns, because that is how real households decide.
