Sponsored content and advertising

The partnership rules, stated plainly: labeled at the top, edited by us, never confused with the guides.

The reader should tell the two pages apart in one glance: that is the entire policy.

Brandon Heart is an independent magazine. If it carries partnerships, they will be few, clearly labeled and edited by us. This page states what we accept, how it is marked, and what we refuse.

What we accept

  • Sponsored articles on topics that fit the magazine's six gates, written or substantially edited by the editorial team.
  • Contextual placements inside existing guides, when they serve the reader's next step and point to genuinely useful pages.
  • Event and program promotions from local organizations that meet the labeling rules below.

How it is labeled

Every sponsored item carries the words "sponsored content" or "advertising" at the top of the page, in the same type size as the headline, before the text begins. Commercial links carry the appropriate rel attribute. Nothing is disclosed only at the bottom of a page or in softened language. A reader should tell editorial from sponsored in a single glance; that is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is enforced through the editorial policy.

What we refuse

We refuse pre-written texts we cannot edit, subjects outside our perimeter such as politics or professional advice, placements that contradict our practical recommendations, and anything targeting readers in ways we would not accept for ourselves. We publish no rankings or ratings of local businesses, paid or otherwise. The refusal list is short and non-negotiable.

Pricing and inventory

The site keeps a sponsor inventory file listing any active placements; it is empty at launch, and this page will describe the current state whenever that changes. Rates are quoted on request rather than published.

Proposing a partnership

Write to [email protected] with the page or gate you have in mind and the content you propose. The answer is fast and unambiguous: yes with the conditions above, or no without detour. General correspondence terms are on the contact page, and the magazine's identity and scope are on the about page.
